Beat the eggs and the 1/3 cup of granulated sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. This dough needs to chill for about an hour before it can be rolled out. At this point custard should be thick and smooth. Stir in eggs one at a time custard will thicken with each addition, then add vanilla. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
